My work explores an aesthetic of natural imperfection through material experimentation and the abstract recreation of landscapes that play with the viewer's memory.
Under the interest in the aesthetics of the unnoticed and imperfect aspects of nature, my work begins with the exploration of its orography and its memory, transforming fluid paint into organic matter through a complex chemical process whose reactions result in fractal forms, reliefs, and natural textures, such as the crystallization of the paint.
Its sensory impact poetically connects with the impressions of memory since our memories are based on sensations, shapes, and colors, like a literal piece of a sensory memory that becomes a continuous experience leading to a specific place and moment for the viewer.
22k gold highlights the beauty of imperfection, of the unnoticed, turning cracks into the most valuable and exclusive quality of the work that speaks to us about our own fragility and human nature.
